I have always loved finding ways of expressing my thoughts and putting down what I saw. When I was younger I loved drawing and painting as a medium of releasing not only creative thoughts and energy but also being able to share something beautiful with others. I love looking at the world around me and feeling inspired. I find inspiration in fresh air in the morning, the crunching of snow, spring flowers, the lines on the skin of a brand new baby or the hands of an elderly. There is beauty all around us. I love that photography gives me the opportunity to reflect and share with others what I see. Sometimes what I document through my camera is emotional and enough in itself, other times I also capture something I need to freeze and magnify, I take the time to edit and show how much more there is in my eyes to that very image than just what it just shows at first. This is where fine art editing becomes my new medium for creative energy. I love both documentary/lifestyle photography and fine art portrait sessions, I love that they give me a chance to share with the anyone who will see the moments I captured what I saw with my own eyes, this is the only time I can fully do this, no words needed, just your eyes seeing through my eyes for one instant.
